Congratulations to the St. Monica School 8^th grade boys’ and 8^th grade girls’ basketball teams upon receiving an invitation to play in the 50^th Annual Padre Serra basketball tournament!  This prestigious tournament is an invite-only event sponsored by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.  It involves the top 8th grade boys’ and girls’ teams from the Archdiocese, a true pitting of the “best against the best.”

This is the second consecutive school year in which both the 8^th grade boys’ and 8^th grade girls’ teams earned invitations to the Padre.  First-round match-ups for the 2007-2008 tournament will be announced in the very near future, with first-round games being played February 28^th-29^th and March 1^st-2^nd.  So, St. Monica School Raiders’ fans, prepare to don your red and white and come cheer on our teams with pride!

UPDATE (2/20/08):  The first-round tournament game match-ups have now been announced.  Our 8th grade Lady Raiders will battle St. John the Evangelist this Sunday, February 24th at 6:00 p.m.  The game will be played at University School.  The 8th grade boys will take on St. Margaret Mary on Monday, February 25th at 8:15 p.m.  The match-up will take place at St. Margaret Mary.
