Alumni Testimonials
Below are just a few testimonials by alumni.
St. Monica School has many great qualities, but the most important one to me is the teachers. All of the teachers are great role models especially in applying the principles of Catholicism into everyday life.

In so many ways, St. Monica School teachers help prepare us for high school. It was a huge relief to find out we had already read more than half the books for freshman year and almost everyone could go into Spanish 2 or French 2.

St. Monica School has not only helped me build relationships with friends but also has helped me develop a closer relationship with God. This spiritual experience coupled with the school’s academic excellence, has prepared me for a bright future. I am ready to face the challenges of high school and beyond in a way only St. Monica School could provide.

As I move on away from this school, I can never forget the faculty and staff. They are the soul of the school who helped to create my memorable experiences and changed the way I look at life.

While it’s true St. Monica School is a great school, there is something else that separates it from other schools. At St. Monica School, there is a different sense in the community, a sense it is more of one big family than a school.

I grew up at St. Monica School learning not only the information that I now need for high school, but also learning to live my life in the footsteps of Christ.

St. Monica School has prepared me for my academic career…I’ve placed out of algebra and French and enrolled in all accelerated classes. I am the strong, determined young woman I am today because of the challenges I experienced

I only attended St. Monica School for three years, but I learned a lot from my experience. I’ve been prepared for high school with the help of teachers I’ve come to know and love. They’ve all given me something to carry on to high school

I will always think of St. Monica School as my family – a family that will always accept me as one of its own. I will never forget the things it has taught me about life, God, and myself.

After going to a non-Catholic private school for seven years, my parents and I decided that exploring the option of a Catholic school for junior high would be a smart choice. I transferred to St. Monica in the middle of 6th grade, but felt as if I went there for all of grade school. The educational experiences I had at St. Monica both in and out of the classroom are unforgettable and the people are some of the nicest I have encountered.

As an 8th grader, I can say from experience that nothing compares to the overwhelming love I see and feel when I walk the hallways of St. Monica School. All students are treated like God’s children and challenged to live as Jesus did.

SMS instills leadership skills and teaches the importance of succeeding academically and living through faith. I’ve been taught more than how to read and write; I’ve been taught how to learn, live, and love through Jesus.

At St. Monica School, nearly everything we do is incorporated with religion to enrich our knowledge and experience of our Catholic faith. Each day, teachers and students interact just like a family in living the school’s mission.

When I graduate from SMS this year, I will take everything I have learned with me and leave well-prepared for high school and beyond. Even though I am leaving, I know I will always be welcomed back to the SMS community.

Without a doubt, I would not be the person I am today without St. Monica School. In my opinion, the tuition cost is a small price to pay for a decade of faith-based education, faith-guided friendships, and faith-filled memories!

Learning is not just a part of the mission statement at St. Monica School – it’s a part of everyday life. I am proud to be a SMS graduate because I know that means I am well-prepared for high school and beyond.

SMS instills in all students the desire to be the very best they can be. On graduation day, all students are able to look their parents in the eyes and say, ‘I tried to be the best student, person, and follower of Jesus that I could be.’

I’ve been impacted by this school in so many ways. I’ve learned to always be myself, to stand up for my beliefs, to shine in places I have talents and try in places in which I am challenged, and to always be there for others in need.
