St. Monica School Launches Its 2008-2009 Annual Fund Campaign
The 2008-2009 Annual Fund campaign is now officially underway – and we need your support!
Officially, the Annual Fund campaign follows the school fiscal year and runs from July 1st through June 30th, so you may give to the campaign at any point during this timeframe. In large part due to the support and generosity from school and parish families, last school year’s campaign was a tremendous success. On behalf of the entire school community, our most heartfelt thanks for your past support and generosity!
As co-chairs of the current 2008-2009 Annual Fund campaign, we are truly honored to represent a school that since 1928 has provided its students with an Exemplary Catholic education. The success of the Annual Fund is one component of the financial support necessary to continue this tradition of excellence. In so many ways, a tax-deductible gift to the Annual Fund is truly an investment in the St. Monica School community, its mission, and its present and future.
The need for the 2008-2009 Annual Fund campaign is $165,000. Here is why we need the Annual Fund, and why today we ask for your support:
•The Annual Fund supports a minimum of 8% of the school year’s operating budget.
•The Annual Fund makes a Catholic education more affordable for every school family by effectively reducing tuition expense by nearly $500 per student.
•The Annual Fund assists in compensating the school’s dedicated and experienced staff (the largest operating budget expense -- comprising about 90% of the total budget -- is staff salaries and benefits).
•The Annual Fund helps fund the school’s priority list items, such as major salary adjustments for teachers; new computer technology and science lab equipment; and classroom and other facility renovations.
As we reach out to all our supporters – St. Monica School families; parents of St. Monica School alumni; alumni; grandparents; and friends – we hope you will consider the importance of the Annual Fund. Every student benefits from your generous investment in our school community, allowing all our children to partake in the school’s mission to “learn, live and love through Jesus.” Your gift will make a very big difference in the continued success of St. Monica School in fulfilling this mission.
