This is the St. Monica School Home & School Association!
The St. Monica Home & School Association is a volunteer organization that supports St. Monica School by providing volunteers for enrichment and fund raising events. These events foster a sense of community, build friendships and provide a loving, Catholic environment in which to educate the students who are our future.
Each year the Association makes a financial commitment to the School Board Committee for the operating budget. In addition, funds are donated to fulfill purchases from the School Board Committee Priority List.
Fund Raising Efforts
Major fund raising efforts include:
An Annual Dinner Dance, Auction and Raffle
A magazine sale, held each fall, in which students sell and renew subscriptions to family members and friends
ScriP, a rapidly growing program held year-round. Gift certificates for various merchants have been purchased at a discounted rate and then sold for face value to participants. Home & School keeps the difference between the discounted rate and the face value of the certificate.
Student & Family Enrichment
St. Monica Home & School volunteers coordinate events that enrich the life of our students as Catholics and instill cohesiveness in our parish and school communities. Some of these events include:
The annual week-long celebration of Catholic Schools
The bi-annual VIP Day when students share their school with the Very Important People in their lives
Breakfast with Baby Jesus and Children's Christmas Eve Liturgy
An annual Variety Show
Cultural Arts and Art for Youth events
St. Monica Home & School Association is committed to the Parish School and its families. The Association strives through its volunteer and fund raising efforts to create an atmosphere in which students "learn, live and love through Jesus."
